Jane Tingle Broderick
Foundations: Triangles
Inspired by one of Jasper Johns’ triangle pieces and my exploration of shapes where photos of nature create the textures.
Brown in Spring
Inspired by the dead growth of the garden before clearing in Spring. Weaving images of my feet with images of the Spring Garden was a very organized and centering process. Adding oregano leaves from the early growth that year (2019) was a way to celebrate the life.

Five Sacred Symbols #1
Angeles Arrien studied symbols in art through the centuries and found five that have shared meaning. I have been fascinated with these symbols, which appear in my work in various ways. This is the first I’ve created with all five together and deeply meaningful to linking them with images from nature at this time when the earth needs our care and support.
The Potter
A portrait of a ceramic artist with whom I shared a studio for many years. She often also worked on this kitchen table by the light of the large window.
